Happy New Year you guys!

I’m so happy to be back home and getting back to blogging!

I have so much exciting news and stories to share with you; from my trips to Barcelona and Morocco and getting engaged under the historic Arc de Triomf; 2017 wrapped like a real life fairy tale and I’m Princess Tiana!

If you’ve been following this blog for a while now, then you’d know that Barcelona is one of my favorite places to visit; the food, the nightlife, the architecture, it’s such a gorgeously romantic city and to be proposed to there was simply magical.

Being the travel bug that I am, I love sneaking in a new city or country when I travel. I mean, you’re already that far, why not go farther! Morocco is only a two-hour flight away from Barcelona so I was excited to hop a plane and head into Africa for the very first time!

The Motherland was awesome, it was amazing, surprisingly cold, but it welcomed me with opened arms!

Don’t worry, a blog and vlog is coming to show you everything!

I was so happy to partner with Going Places Travel on this trip and I can’t wait to show you the amazing hotels they found and booked for me.

I’m still battling jet lag, skin that has betrayed me and rummaging through the thousands of photos of videos I shot, but as is the usual on this here blog, I start my post trip blogs by giving you the deets on my favorite looks worn on the trip! So here goes…

Who. What. Wear. (Morocco)

Periwinkle Kisses

I couldn’t wait to escape the frigid cold in Barcelona and head to Africa where the sun viciously shone all day and I could slip into my flip flops and summer dresses…or so I thought! It was so cold in Morocco! I DIED! The first day out touring the city I quickly swapped my spaghetti straps for this flowy comfortable piece. I picked this up in Target sometime last year and couldn’t wait to wear it. I paired this look with my favorite new espadrilles from Bahamian footwear line Bahems.

Cleopatra Sunshine

Let me just start with my head piece! I got this when I was in Dubai a few years ago and instantly fell in love! I only wear it on special occasions or when I want to be extra…and this day I wanted to be extra! After a long day of touring popular spots in Marrakech, we spontaneously ended the day riding camels. I actually picked up this dress on a whim my first day in Morocco as we toured Chefchaouen (the Blue City). The bright yellow instantly caught my eye and I fell in love with the rainbow stripes and beautiful embroidery. How I mounted that camel in a dress still remains a mystery.

Striped Right

So I totally planned this look! When researching for my trip to Marrakech I constantly saw photos of these beautiful pottery barns. Oranges, and browns and tans, mugs, jars, planters everywhere. I picked up this dress on sale at Catwalk Boutique (Nassau, Bahamas) and I immediately saw the photo: melanin, clay pots, Mother Nature and the striped dress! It was everything I envisioned!

Who. What. Wear. (Barcelona)

Snow White…No Dwarfs

I saw this shaggy number and had to have it! I’d already packed three jackets and with limited space in my already stuffed luggage, I didn’t know how I was getting this jacket back home. I picked this up from a Mango store right on Las Ramblas in Barcelona and wore it out on a day cruising the town. I paired it with a simple pair of jeans, a grey sweatshirt and matching tennis.

To be honest, it was freaking cold in Barcelona, so dressing up and being cute was kept to a minimum!

Hopefully this Morocco + Barcelona update holds you over until the big blogs roll out!
