Let’s just call this the little black dress with big energy! Every time I travel, I make sure to pack a few showstopper pieces for photoshoots. I ordered this dress a few weeks before our trip to Nairobi, Kenya and had it shipped directly to my brother-in-law’s house in Miami. We had a layover there so I thought it would be easier to collect my package at that time.

Side note: I did not expect to love the dress the way I love it and thought it would end up to the bottom of my luggage, used as cushion for my souvenirs and other wares.

I added this dress to the cart on a whim, last minute. I figured it couldn’t hurt to have a sexy black dress on hand for a late night dinner, a night out on the town…or a photoshoot in the penthouse we were renting. And baby I was right.

It’s almost as if the dress was made to be photographed in this space. The turtle neck, long sleeves, fitted silhouette and gold body print design instantly transform this piece into a stunner. It felt so good on. They paired so well with the drapes, lighting, high ceilings, staircase and even the artwork on the wall. Talk about meant to be!

I paired the dress with my signature red lip, MAC’S Ruby Woo and red pointed toe mules for a pop of color. Black is my color, but if white is your thing, I’ve found the dress in both shades! The material gives a comfortable stretch, that helps the dress cling to your curves.
