The Christmas Three: Our Family Holiday Photoshoot
Dec 22, 2020
What a difference a year makes!
This time last year, I was about six months pregnant wondering if the little thing that kept kicking me was a boy or a girl.
This time last year, it was just hubby and I; planning trips, staying up late watching a string of movies and sleeping through the night.
This year we’re a family of three that could barely watch a full 30 minute show.
These days we plan pureed meals and babysitting duties
And sleep? What is that?
Our little family has grown in the most beautiful way, though. Faren has truly been a blessing to us and in eight short months she’s stolen our hearts. As we prep to celebrate our first Christmas as a family of three, I’m so happy we set time aside to have a holiday family photoshoot.
I love the fact that I can look at photos of myself at six months, five-years-old, 10-years-old, celebrating the holidays and family. It’s something I absolutely wanted to give our daughter as well; evidence of times she wont remember, but memories that’ll live on forever.
I’d only planned to do photos in our matching pajamas, but I bought this red velvet tutu dress for Faren and immediately knew we had to do more glammed up holiday photos.

I fell in love with Buffalo Plaid this season and couldn’t resist getting us all matching PJs for family movie nights. Heck, I even decorated our tree and door wreath with the print. Buffalo Plaid really screams “Tis the season” and is iconically Christmas! Nothing less for this iconic family 🙂
Beautiful family
