I absolutely love a jam packed weekend! 

And this past weekend was loaded with yummy doses of food, fun, activity and glamour! This weekend I worked and partied my butt off at two amazing events around town that gave me the chance to mix and mingle with the island’s who’s who and what’s not!

Hands For Hunger Paradise Plates Charity Event

Anybody who’s anybody waits in anticipation each year for this event! Not only is it swelling with amazing food, drinks, entertainment and people, but this is the party that (for me, at least) gets the holiday and party seasons started! Hands for Hunger is a non-profit organization that collects surplus food from restaurants and hotels around the island and distributes it to homes and shelters to feed the hungry. This year H4H is celebrating 1 million pounds of food donated and to me…that requires a party! Paradise Plates, held at the Atlantis Resort Saturday night, is such a great event where restaurants and chefs whip up some amazing foods and concoctions for partygoers to sample and taste, all for charity!! With it’s DJ elevated and hanging from the ceiling, a flash mob, live art and awesome raffle prizes this year, I can’t wait to see what they pull out next year! It’s an event you won’t want to miss! This time around though, I got the pleasure of being added to the group’s social media team; so the night for me consisted of partying, posting and uploading! Yes, this was a foodie event!!!! My fave dishes were the coral seafood cake from Xuma’s Restaurant; the pulled pork slider from Nobu and the sparkling ginger, lemonade drink from Dasani!!! 

What I wore: A salmon off the shoulder, bell sleeved short dress, tassel earrings, lucite heels and my sparkly lips and felt like the belle of the ball!

The Elevation Awards Nominee Announcement 

If you haven’t heard as yet, yours truly is hosting the first ever Elevation Awards in February! I’m super excited because it’s about time local entertainers, artists, writers and even bloggers get the shine we deserve! Sunday night I attended the live taping of the nominee announcement at Caves Village and had a bit of a blast! I was even interviewed for the taping and spoke a bit about my excitement for being the host! I’m looking forward to the show airing Tuesday night on local channel 212 at 8pm! The big show comes to you live on February 4, 2017!!! I even ran into Bahamian media personality and journalism pioneer Dr. Debbie Bartlett (in glasses) and caught this #girlboss photo with my fellow Bahamian female media personalities and entertainers! 

What I wore: An off the shoulder/strappy citron top with a pair of H&M sparkly pants that I’ve had for forever!
