If you’re anything like me, as soon as Thursday rolls around, you’re dreaming up things to do on the weekend; especially on a Sunday that calls for pure relaxation, reconnecting with those you love and…brunch!

I recently discovered the “Reimagined Brunch Experience” at the Mosaic restaurant in The Cove Atlantis and got my entire life. For me Sundays are the day I literally unwind from the week that was and gear up for the week to come, and there’s truly no better way to do that than dressing up, linking up with friends and family and heading out for a midday meal.

From the minute we arrived at The Cove, I was instantly plunged into “get-a-way” mode. The tropical vibes, modern day decor and design, the koi fish that greet you at the entrance and the lili pads all set the tone for a Sunday brunch date well spent.

Brunch Is a Vibe

I mean think about it; what other meal of the day allows you to combine breakfast and lunch and deems it socially acceptable to have champagne with your scrambled eggs? Brunch is all the rave these days because of its time flexibility, variety of foods to eat in one setting, a reason to get dressed up for no reason and…did I say have champagne with your scrambled eggs?

That’s why when my friends over at The Mosaic restaurant in The Cove Atlantis told me about their revived, renewed and reimagined brunch experience I was ecstatic to grab some of my favorite people and dig in.

The first time I experienced The Mosaic’s Reimagined Brunch Experience, was with friends! I linked up with Eddie, Cashera and Rabs one Sunday afternoon, and oh how the shenanigans ensued! I had so much fun I decided to take my mom, stepmom and baby sister back for a girls’ only brunch a few Sundays later.

Here are 5 reasons The Mosaic Brunch is my new Sunday Fave!

So. Much. Food! – So this almost goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway! Brunch menus are super dope because you get to eat so many of your fave morning and lunch items at the same time. But at the Mosaic, they’ve seemingly mastered that mix! I usually hit up the made-to-order pancake, waffle and french toast station first and watch in awe as my batter is poured and flipped. I usually pair that plate with either a freshly made omelette or warm, cheesy scrambled eggs with bacon and some fresh fruit on the side. That’s round one! I love breakfast foods, but I also love the fact that I could grab a plate of my fave Bahamian dishes like cracked conch. There’s a carving station with a variety of meat options like lamb and roast. For the sushi lover, there’s a bar for you too as well as a raw bar with salmon and shrimp. I had pizza, pasta, veggie and bean and rice; healthier options like salads, quinoa, veggies and soup, too! I topped all that off with dessert and a smile. I literally ate EVERYTHING!

The bottomless mimosas are a hit – I don’t know who’s mixing the mimosas at the Mosaic but, sir, madam, you have my full respect! Fresh squeezed orange juice and champagne was the order of the day. The bottomless mimosa option is a staple when I brunch and the fact that this particular blend is so delicious and tasty is a win. Honestly, there’s pure flavor in there; they’re not just pouring bottled juice over some sparkling wine and you can tell; the mimosas are rich, flavorful, perfectly mixed and, most importantly for me, consistent! I found myself double fisting sometimes tending to three glasses at a time, the mimosas flowed and I loved it! Cheers!

The staff is so awesome – If you’re lucky enough to book your brunch on a day when the hostess Vanessa is on, consider yourself lucky! She literally get’s the brunch vibes lit as she welcomes you into the spot with a huge smile, a hearty welcome and all the energy in the world! She sets the tone for how the Mosaic staff is though. Everyone I encountered there was super friendly and lit, because they get it. They clearly know that brunch vibes are always fun, festive and down to earth. I made fast friends with Telita and all the ladies who were responsible for feeding me 🙂

The vibes put you in a trance – A great menu, bottomless mimosas, wonderful staff and a charming atmosphere set the tone for any great brunch experience, and the Mosaic ticks every box! From the spacious layout, airy design and huge windows that let the light in for awesome photos, the vibes in this spot are just right. Lush greenery on the outside makes this an oasis that encloses you in a bruncher’s dream. Tropical hued furniture, a massive entry way, a glass waterfall and the perfect mosaic background for photos, add the finishing touches.

The chance to reconnect is so needed – I love catching up with my friends and family, and brunch dates are best for that. On both visits we literally sat in the restaurant well beyond closing time laughing, still eating and catching up. There’s something special about a brunch day that just sets the mood for reconnecting with those you love. Wont you agree?
